How AI scan credits work

The Free plan includes 50 lifetime AI scan credits. Each AI photo scan uses 1 credit, and each photo can identify up to 10 items at once. Credits are a one-time lifetime allowance per account — they do not refill on any schedule.

Manual items are always unlimited, on every plan. If you want to inventory a whole garage, attic, or kitchen pantry in a single weekend, Pro unlocks unlimited AI photo scanning for your personal household inventory.

Billing and refunds

Web subscriptions are billed through Stripe. iOS subscriptions use Apple In-App Purchase. You can cancel anytime through the platform where you subscribed and keep paid access until the end of your billing period.

Web subscription payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law. The Free plan includes AI scan credits so you can try the service before upgrading. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@livingledger.net. iOS App Store purchases are handled through Apple’s refund process.

Is there a free plan?
Yes. Unlimited manual items and 50 lifetime AI scan credits. Each AI photo scan uses 1 credit. No credit card required.
What does AI scanning do?
Each AI photo scan uses 1 credit. Each photo can identify up to 10 items at once, with names and details filled in. Manual items are always unlimited.
How is billing handled on web vs iOS?
Web subscriptions are billed through Stripe. iOS subscriptions use Apple In-App Purchase. You can cancel anytime through the platform where you subscribed.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. No contracts. If you cancel Pro, you keep access until the end of your billing period and then drop back to Free.
What happens to my inventory if I cancel Pro?
You keep your saved inventory. If you cancel Pro, your account moves back to the Free plan at the end of your billing period. You can still view, search, and manually manage your inventory. Pro only controls unlimited AI scanning.
Are there limits on Pro plan scanning?
Pro includes unlimited AI photo scanning for normal personal household use. To protect the service from abuse, automation, or non-household bulk usage, scanning activity may be limited under our standard household fair-use policy.
How does the Pro Yearly discount work?
Pro Yearly is $30 for a full year — about $2.50 per month, which is about 17% less than monthly billing.
What about refunds?
Web subscription payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law. The Free plan includes AI scan credits so you can try the service before upgrading. If you believe you were charged in error, email support@livingledger.net. iOS App Store purchases are handled through Apple’s refund process.
How deep can locations go?
Locations can be created up to 3 levels deep, such as Garage → Shelf → Bin.
Does the Free plan ever expire?
No. The Free plan stays free. The 50 AI scan credits are a one-time lifetime allowance per account — they do not refill on any schedule.
What if an AI scan fails or returns no items?
A failed or empty AI scan still uses 1 credit. The app surfaces this when it happens and steers you toward a clearer photo or manual entry. If a scan fails because of a temporary service issue on our side, the app restores the credit automatically. Pro accounts have unlimited AI scanning, so this only affects the Free plan.
Are photos I attach manually sent for AI identification?
No. Manual entry can include a photo, but a manually attached photo is only stored with the item — it is not sent for AI identification. AI identification only happens when you tap Scan with AI.
Can I print my inventory?
Yes — print is available on the web app and PWA. Open your inventory in any modern browser and use your device’s print dialog. The iOS app does not currently include a print action; if you’re on iPhone or iPad and need to print, open the web app instead.
